Welcome to
Cambridge

Whilst world famous for the university, Cambridge is so much more.  With green spaces galore, and the River Cam snaking through the city and colleges, Cambridge not only is a breath-taking city but offers some of the best career options outside of London.

Our Cambridge office opened in 2010 and has become one of the leading independent letting agencies within this thriving city.

Our professional, close-knit team are known for their expert local knowledge and organisational qualities and have helped hundreds and hundreds of happy people find their perfect city home.

Living in Cambridge

The simple answer is - anything you want! The city centre is host to every high street name, plus a wealth of independent retailers. The market offers a range of everything from clothing to gifts to locally produced food.  Live music, comedy, theatre and cinema will keep you entertained. The Lido, tennis courts and parks will keep you healthy. The Fitzwilliam Museum and Botanical Gardens are perfect for weekend visits. And of course, punting on the Cam is a must.

Whether looking for traditional British pub grub, fine dining, relaxed picnics, fusion or street food, Cambridge offers it all. You can dress up, dress down, eat in, eat out or take away.

Fancy shopping in a modern undercover mall, with department stores, designer retailers and high street names? Or would you prefer independent retailers down a narrow street with pretty hanging baskets and stunning architecture? With Cambridge, you can have both. A perfect mix of old and new, with a retail offering that you would struggle to beat.

Trains will take you into London in 54 minutes and it’s an easy 34 minutes to Stansted Airport. The A14 can take you into the Midlands, or through Bury St Edmunds into Ipswich, and the Port of Felixstowe.
With a city world-famous for Nobel Prize winners and the university, it is no surprise to hear that the schools in Cambridge are some of the best. With OFSTED rated “outstanding” state schools, and some of the finest independent schools on offer.

Buying or Renting in Cambridge

Cambridge has a population of 146,000 and a large temporary student population. With the proximity to London, and everything that Cambridge has to offer the property market is highly competitive. Whether you are looking to buy or sell, working with Morris Armitage will give you an edge over others to make sure you achieve the outcome you want. We are confident any one of our team would win Mastermind with a specialist subject of Cambridge so why not tap into that local expertise and work with us on your sale or purchase.
Rightmove, stated in June 2024, that properties in Cambridge had an overall average price of £606,823 over the last year. There is no hiding that Cambridge is the second most expensive city to buy a home in the UK second only to London. Great news if you need to speak to us about selling your home – less great if you are buying! But never fear! Our local team will have the knowledge needed to help you find the perfect solution.
